No necessarily. It is still the parents' job to teach responsibility by letting the child totally care for the pet (As practical) and never 'give in' and start taking the responsibility away from her because it is easier. If she will not care for the pet (as soon as the new-ness wears off . . . ), then you should have plans to adopt the pet out, if it's that sort of pet.
They are cute, fun to have around (keep u company), theyre lovable, and they are fun to play with!! :)
children can learn how to be responsible; take care of the pet, feed it, take it for walks (if its a dog) and more.
You will find they are just the same if it is a dog!
Pets have been long thought by child developers as helping children have increased abilities to cope with emotional situations in their lives. But pets also help with children having responsibility and other maturation.

It is not unusual for children and their pets to have very close relation-ships. I would hesitate to call them symbiotic. The values that children learn from caring for their pets will stand them in good stead in later life, I have never heard of a negative outcome.

I'm sorry but there's no way. i have sims 2 pets for ps2 and there's no way.sorry for sounding mean but you can't!!!!!I don't know if there is a way of having babies, but I want to know how to have babies, as on the Sims 2 Pets ps2 packet, there was CHILDREN on it? So, how can you have babies/children if the mother cannot have children? :/
some children feel that they can express themselves through a pet. they also may feel that they have someone to play and talk to when there bored or dont have close siblings. pets help kids also by teaching them responsibility and keeping them active.
A good way for children to learn how to play musical instruments is having them take music lessons at a local school or club. This will help them improve their skills.
They should. It teaches them responsibility. Easy to care for pets, preferrably in cages. Such as goldfish or hamster. And if the cage/aquarium is in the child's room, do make often visits to check on it. Also they should get a pet to keep them company and learn stuff
