I have a collie my self and it is the sweetest dog in the world. It will lay in it's bed with my cats and keep them warm. I just can't tell you how sweet the are. There special dogs!
Collies are known for being unaggressive unlike other dogs such as terriers. They are mostly good with strangers and children but are quite a handful as they always love to be kept busy. Border collies are very intelligent but needs alot of stimulation, bearded collies can be quite noisy but love children and strangers, rough collies can be shy but if well cared for will, like all collies, never be aggressive.
On the whole collies are probably the nicest group of dogs, loyal, caring and the most devoted of family members, they will not attack any animals no matter how big or small.
Hope this helps,

Collies are very loyal to their owner. They love knowing their owner is safe at all times, and they also enjoy lots of affection. They also enjoy chew toys and socializing with other dogs.

Mini-collies are called shelties. They are about as big as a shizu, but their fur makes them look larger. They have the same traits and characteristics as regular collies.
Yes. Years ago, when they were being developed as a breed, they were basicly selectivly bred mixes. Now they have become a true breed registered with many Kennel Clubs and fairly popular pets.
