Best Answer

A molecule is formed when two or more atoms join together. And a compound is a molecule that contains at least two different elements. So all compounds are molecules but not all molecules are compounds.

No, they're not. Molecules are like the smallest parts of a compound, so water is a compound made up of molecules of H2O, and these molecules are made up of elements / atoms (oxygen and hydrogen). You have lots of elements making up a molecule (2 atoms of hydrogen and 1 atom of oxygen - water) and lots of molecules making up a compound.

Hope this helps! :):):):)

Compounds being defined as molecules composed from more than one type of atom, there is just one example where the Answer is No: that is the diatomic molecule, such as H2, N2 or O2.

most of the time, but not always. for example, sodium chloride is made up of sodium atoms and chloride atoms that form a crystalline structure< not exactly a molecule

Because a water can be a moeclue (if it the 2 Hydrogen and 1 Oxgean atoms are chemically put together) and Coompound ( Water has two different elements that make it up)
