Coptics first ruled all of Egypt till the Muslims took over their land and now control over it. Coptics can be killed anytime for any reason if they feel the need to. Sometimes the Muslims would burn down or bomb the Christan churches. But overall the Christians in Egypt can live a normal life and have no problems unless they do something thought as "wrong" to the Muslims.
