No, a bow and arrow is held vertically and the arrow has to be pulled to shoot the arrow. A cross bow is held horizontally and doesn't need to be pulled, you just pull a trigger. The Crossbow has more power but a Bow and Arrow can reload faster. Just pick the one that suits you the most.

∙ 11y agoNo, they're not more accurate, but anyone can use a crossbow with minimal training, whereas to use a weapon such as a longbow takes years of training from an early age. A longbow, as used in medieval times, needed strong shoulders to pull; some required a force of 100 to 150 pounds to loose an arrow properly, so regular training was essential.
