Generally speaking, on any airline, you can take whatever kind of medical or assistive device, if you need it due to a handicap or any legitimate medical reason. The law requires this. There are some exceptions of course. Crutches are fine, absolutely. But some things, such as Oxygen machines, have detailed rules governing what you can take and what you cannot.
