There are two distinct groups of Cyclops. The first were the brothers who were the monstrous sons of Kronos and Rhea. They were Brontes, Steropes and Arges and is is they who forged Zeus' thunderbolts.
The second group were shepherds on an unnamed island. The only one named was Polyphemus and it was he who was tricked and blinded by Odysseus. They are most usually cited as being sons of Poseidon and Thoosa.
