What kind of diet drinks are you taking? Are you talking about Slim Fast? Or are you speaking of Diet Soda? If you are drinking diet soda, you should stop immediately. Diet soda can ruin your diet. Not only does it make you more thirsty, but it can actually make you hungrier in the long run, not to mention that the sweeteners that use can be very bad for you. If you are looking for a drink to go with your meals, try drinking very lightly sweetened tea, adding lemon in your water, or plain coffee. But the best you can do, is drink plenty of water. no it is not because in diet drinks there is aspartame that gives you a brain tumours and asulfate k and neither of them are good for you and regular drinks (some of them, not all of the regular drinks are mainly sugar) are mainly sugar but it is better for you than all of the artificial sweetener's.Careful because some drinks are not even putting on the label that there is sweetener's in!

Not really. You need the liquid, and if you eliminate diet soft drinks, you probably won't replace it with an equal volume of water.

Because there is more salt(sodium) in diet drinks that makes more effervescence-more bubbles...I think...that or it is over carbonated to mask that yucky diet taste-maybe they think you wont notice the carcinogenic cancer causing sweeteners...stick to the real thing less dangerous!

I would recommend drinking DIET sodas if you are a Pre-diabetic because if you don't and you drink Regular Sugary drinks you will be at high risk for diabetes (Only if your Doctor says's you are a Pre_diabetic)

Also, because artificial sweeteners are 200 times sweeter than sugar, less of it can be used, making diet coke lighter.
