Really your question is impossible to answer because it's not a question of inteligence but the way they think. Dogs communicate through a mix of tone and body signals. They comprehend through tone, body signals, and audio or visual signals. When a dog answers to its name it only responds to the audio signal and the tone which you say the name, for instance, my dogs have learned to distingush their individual name from almost 20 other members of our "pack" (family, visitors and other pets.) On the other hand, some dogs have been taught to "read" which is just another visual signal.
While dogs are smarter than cats in many ways, cats also have their smart points too. Dogs are smart at working in groups, but cats are smart in working as an individual. Dogs also tend to be easier to train with tricks, but cats are also less picky, and are smart enough to be outside on the street alone. There is no proper judgment of the smartness of dogs and cats contrasted.
no dogs are not dumb they are actually pretty smart if you ever seen a dog bark then their owner must have taught them so they learned which is being smart why are ya asking dude its obvious dogs are idiots we are smarter than them a monk4ey is smarter than them
Dogs do not have the capacity for language, but they can be taught commands in any language. No statistical information has ever been collected on what languages dogs are taught to understand in the United States.
it depends how old it is
yes they can but its hard to train them
Shepherd's are strong dogs. They are working dogs. They can be very helpful. They're smart and this helps a lot. They are helpful to cops. They are smart enough to listen to commands and strong enough to attack. They can also help the blind. They are patient and able to learn the street lights. But they need a lot of exercised. Keep in mind that they are big dogs.
A beagle is a short legged hunting dog. These are smart, loyal little dogs who can be taught to tree and hunt.
Well, not ALL dogs are dumb, some are very smart, like my dog. We taught my dog to hunt snakes without being scared of them, it took us 30 minutes to teach him not to be scared of them, and another 30 to start hunting them, (he doesn't kill the snakes, he just brings them to us, then we let them go.) He also knows how to sit, lay down, roll over, and we also taught him to jump over the hole in our back yard, (the hole is about three feet wide and four feet deep.) But it is true that most dogs are not as smart as others. My dog is a totally normal dog, but we just had to teach him to be smart. So that might be why most dogs are dumb, they just haven't been taught to be smart.
They seem to be smart enough to have us humans care for them...
no.
Most of them are , But they might fall off if they dont know the trick "Stay"
