From everything that I have found, you can buy anything made in China with a reputable name and it is probably a counterfeit. Dolce & Gabbana are made in Italy.

Leather Goods are made in Italy. As the Luxottica Group makes the eyewear for D & G, you can be assured that they are made in China and will be stamped Made in China inside.

added082609-ONLY high end dolce&gabbana items are made in Italy.low end items are made in china.this also goes for just about any big name products.in other words,if you are paying less than say 1,000 dollars, on an item,then yo uare most likely buying something that is made in china,even though it carries the brand name.it may also be shipped back to Italy or country of orign to be outfitted with name plates or brand badges.some examples are:Prada,D&G,Versace,Wang,Ladonna,Fendi..all these names sell products made in china,but are the lower end products.

this DOES NOT mean they are counterfit.even though you feel you may have been duped,it is common practice among high fashion names that has come about in the last few years.
