Flowerhorns are very territorial and aggressive.African cichlids, blood parrots of considerable size can be put with flowerhorn only if the tank is big enough(about 500 gallons). Otherwise its not recommended to put other fishes with flowerhorn at all, they might get killed or eaten up.
convict cichlids are the most aggressive cichlid there is it will fight with all fish convicts an green terror cichlids are the most aggressive cichlids so i would suggest that you not do that if you are about both fish
Blood Parrot Cichlids are a man made species of fish manufactured in some back street laboratories in China. In many more enlightened and educated countries that have a moral concience, these fish are banned from entry and/or sale. They have not been given a real species (Latin) name because, since they are man made, they are not a true species. They will have a similar intelligence to all South American Cichlids because that is where their genealogy comes from via a Chinese laboratory.
What about Blood Parrot Fish?

Blood worms, flakes, pellets, etc. EDIT New Life Spectrum is the best i have found anywhere for cichlid food. DO NOT FEED AFRICAN RIFT LAKE CICHLIDS BLOOD WORMS. It can easily lead to bloating and death.
Parrot fish do not get pregnant they are egg layers.
These fish are laboratory made creatures but they still have some of the instincts of real cichlids from the Amazon. They are egg layers. They do not have live young so they can not get pregnant. My guess is that the larger fish is simply bullying the smaller one.
Good parents are omnivores. They eat commercial Cichlid food, goldfish food, blood worms... And just about everything else!
When I initially put dwarf frogs into my tank with blood parrot cichlids, the fish attempted to bite onto the feet of the frogs thinking it was food, or something. After the first day they left each other alone and there have been no problems since then.
