Yes, they use less electricity.
Very bright fluorescent lights!!
* Incandescent * Fluorescent * LED (light emitting diode)
Incandescent lights are expensive to run (they give off a lot of heat was well as light), incandescent lights are much more efficient. However modern LED light bulbs are better (more efficient) than both incandescent and fluorescent lights so in the future you will see a change to the use of these.
Fluorescent lights are more expensive to buy, but cheaper to run and they last longer.
Incandescent lights work best for bathroom lighting. Fluorescent lights emit a cooler looking like, which does not bring out facial skin tone, which is detrimental when applying makeup.
Definitely fluorescent. Incandescent lights are extremely inefficient and spend most of their energy producing heat rather than light. This is why an incandescent lightbulb gets so much hotter than a fluorescent one.
An incandescent light uses electric current passing through a wire with a high resistance to current flow. That makes the wire very hot and it glows, producing the light. A fluorescent light uses electricity to charge a gas in a tube. The charged gas glows, producing the light. For the same amount of light, more electricity is needed in an incandescent light than in a fluorescent light, but developing and building fluorescent lights required more advanced technology than did incandescent lights.
compact floresent
If your light is a fluorescent light, then yes - this is the most effective for black lighting. You can also purchase "Black Light" incandescent globes, however, I don't believe these to be anywhere near as good. If you have a "standard incandescent globe" socket, I would suggest you purchase a CFL black light as these give a better effect and are more efficient. fluorescent because they use more energuy
Incandescent and halogen light bulbs use more energy than compact fluorescent lights and LED lights. Fluorescent lamps with magnetic ballasts use more energy than fluorescent lamps with electronic ballasts.
You can use incandescent, fluorescent or halogen lighting fixtures meant for indoor use inside a home. For example, you can purchase incandescent wall lights that are connected to a dimmer switch with incandescent lamping. Fluorescent lights might be in models of ceiling lights, chandeliers and pendant lights. Fluorescent lights are energy efficient lighting choices. Halogen lamps are used in some recessed lighting for indoor use. Floor lamps may also use halogen bulbs. Read carefully to see what type of indoor lighting can withstand damp settings such as the bathroom.
