Hi! Yes a leopard gecko is fairly easy to maintain. All you need to do is wet the moss and not let it get dry, pick up poo, sometimes clean the sand, and feed it crickets (dead or alive) and change the water

Not usually, unless you have a very busy schedule Geckos need to be fed once or twice a day. You need to clean their tank once or twice every two weeks, if you decide to keep their crickets in a cricket keeper, that will need to be cleaned every two weeks and emptied out every time you buy more crickets. You will also need to give the crickets food and water (you can buy cricket food and cricket water at the pet store or just give them carrots and potatoes). You will also have to remember to turn their light off at night, and on in the morning. Overall, it isn't very much work, and I LOVE having a gecko.

It depends how responsible or lazy you are. If you are responsible enough to feed them every night before you go to bed, clean their cage once a week, and give it lots of love to feel more comfortable with you, then no; they are very easy to take care of. If you are too lazy to scoop up waste, watch it and make sure it eats (which can take long- geckos observe their food to make sure that it is alive before eating it), and give it lot of love and affection, then yes; a gecko is a lot of work and is not the right pet for you.

Ok so I have a little Juvenal and they are the cutest things ever. All you need is a tank preferably a larger one. Repti carpet (it's really less expensive because every two or three weeks take it out scrubb it and put it back in) also a cave and you will need moss. With the moss rinse it out with tap water and put it in the cave. Then have a few rocks on the other side or a branch so they can climb. The rocks are for basking. They will need a source of heat because they can't controll their body temp so what I do is I use a heat admitted because at night their pupils will enlargen and will blind them if they look into the light so get a red bulb or a heat admitter and get a bulb holder thing that u put the bulb in and plug it in thingy. So then you will need a water bowl. Water needs to be available a all times and the bowl needs to be shallow or they can drown it should be about half an inch to one fourth of an inch and it needs to be changed about every two days. The heat admitter should be on when you wake up and turn it off when you go to bed. Leopard geckos are special because they lack adhesive slime from their claws s they can't crawl up the glass so you are ok if you have a screen but u leave it open a little. Finally food you will need to give it both crickets and meal worms. You have to coat them with calcium or else they could be walking and break a leg. I put a calcium source in a plastic bag and put the crickets or meal worms in and then shake the bag and put them in the cage the gecko will do the rest. The food will have to differ. So you should feed it mealworms one day and crickets the next or go by weeks. Wax worms can be used as treats for holidays or birthdays and also if it is sick it is good to feed them to it to boost it's immune system. When you get the gecko in its container it should be curious. Also if you see discoloration by the eyes mouth or area where pee comes out it is sick. Also if it has sloppy poop for more than a week it is sick and you talk to a vet or a worker at a pet store. Finally you will need to hold it and play every day so when it grows up you can put it on your shoulder and watch tv. They are reall fun and live like 15-20 years if you take care of it for awhile. Have fun

Yes You can sell leopard geckos oviously! Are geckos easy to take care of and are they kid friendly?

Geckos are fairly easy to take care of, but this mostly depends on what kind o gecko you get. If you are getting your first lizard I would start with a green anole, they are friendly, but you should not pick them up for a while.

Are leopard geckos happier when there are two?

No. Leopard geckos are solitary. Put two males together and they will fight. Put a male and female together is not a good idea, unless you are prepared to take care of eggs. But if you introduce females to eachother young, they might get along.
