Yes and they are a very loyal dog as well. At this years dog show one of the judges was asked why a golden retriever had never won "Best in Show". The judge said it was because they were too loyal to pleasing their owners instead of performing for the judges. Doesn't seem fair to me but, that is what the judge said. I'll take loyalty over a blue ribbon any day.
