Are guinea pigs good with asthmatic children?

I have Asthma and have not had any problems with my guinea pig, they do tend to shed alot, but their fur is different from a cat and is more closer to human hair, and they shouldn't mess with your asthma or Allergies!

Only if they are pregnant, or dying either way if you eat a guinea pig while having an asthma attack you will most likely turn into a fairy oh by the way your girlfriend has asthma, i got her out of breath.

Guinea pigs are one of the best animals for people with asthma. They have little to no dander. They only thing about guinea pigs that can affect an asthmatic child is the type of bedding you chose to give your guinea pig. My daughter (6 years) has 3 guinea pigs because she has such bad asthma that she could not have a dog or a cat. She is absolutely fine with the pigs, but she cannot be with wood chip bedding. However, this is an amazing solution. Instead there is a bedding called Carefresh that the pigs love and so does my daughter. It comes in a white, soft almost cotton like form that is very comfortable for the pigs, and does not affect my daughter at all. She keeps the guinea pigs in a cage next to her bed and they have not affected her through the night, or with her severe asthma. I hope this helps!
