No. They are established by local or state statute.
I believe there are many areas of Chicago that are "GUN FREE ZONES." Most schools & university campuses across the US are also Gun Free Zones. One would have to know the specific areas in Chicago that are declared Gun Free Zones. As many proponents of conceal carry will point out, law-abiding citizens will obey the law, and not bring a firearm into Gun Free Zones. Unfortunately, most criminals couldn't care less about such laws (which is why they are criminals). In fact, they may even chose to commit crimes in Gun Free Zones because they are pretty sure that their victims will obey the law, and not be armed.
Best answer is "MAYBE." There are many "gun free zones" in which law-abiding citizens won't carry a firearm, but a criminal would. In fact, criminals can take advantage of "gun free zones" because they know that their potential victims are likely to be unarmed. Now, if the government can ensure that guns are kept out of the hands of criminals, then stricter gun laws SHOULD help prevent gun-related fatalities. That's the tough part, criminals, by definition, don't obey laws.
As long as they don't violate existing federal and state laws.
No
Depends on what you were convicted of.
Gun registration is regulated by state. There is no federal gun registry, yet. You have to check with your state's gun laws.
no, you can't put gun's and roses on a ipod for free.
The number of gunshot deaths that occur in gun-free zones can vary each year. However, it is important to note that statistically, the majority of gun-related deaths in the United States occur outside of gun-free zones.
there no free weapon at cso
Federal law says you must be 18 to buy a long gun
It depends on what you mean. If you mean a federal carry permit, in the U.S. there is no such thing. If you mean a FFL, that is a business license (basically) and has nothing to do with carrying a gun, only selling them.
