I'm a male with long hair about 6 in below my shoulders. I must say I couldn't live without hot curlers. A good set wiil heat up fast and allowes you to continue geetting ready as they are cooling which saves alot of time. The sets come with different sizes and different number of curlers depending on what your needs are. I have alot of hair and use a set that has 30 assorted curlers. I use about 28 each time I curl my hair (which is daily) and have the most awesome head of curls that stay in all day for me. Get a good haircut to take off most of the damaged hair.

Styling irons are very bad for your hair. Your hair will gradually get weak and brittle. But if you are using them, I would defineatly recommend a weekly hair treatment to restore the moisture back into your hair. Okay, so styling irons can be very bad for your hair, but you can also prevent much of the damage. First of all, styling irons do make your hair brittle and can give you split ends. They do however make hair mouses and sprays that you put on your hair before you use the iron. I would suggest buying one of these. Also, I would suggest buying a nice-quality styling iron such as the chi styling iron in order to prevent noticeable damage to your hair. Hope I helped!

Yes, you can curl a wig with sponge curlers or any kind of curlers as long as you dont use any electronic tools on it. If your talking about a human hair wig only then can you use electronic tools. You can use curlers, and boiling water on a synthetic wig. Put the curlers in the hair, and boil water. Pour the boiling over the wig,while it is in a strainer, with the curlers in. Let the wig dry and cool in the strainer, once again leaving the curlers in the wig. Some people let it sit for 12 hours, I think that is a little too long, and recogmend letting it sit in the strainer only until it is dry, then taking it out and letting it sit on a manican head, or Ive used a Volleyball. Once you have taken the curlers out and it is completely dry, work a hair shine product through it, and I spray it with hairspray.
