Holstein cows are generally bred to be quite docile as they need to be handled at least twice a day for milking. The caveat is that they would be more docile if handled when young on a daily basis, which does not generally happen in large commercial dairy herds.

Holstein bulls can be quite agressive...as can most bulls.

I have two Holstein bulls they are docile the secret is you have to raise them from babies and work with them on a daily basis. They are like dogs I raise them and work with them they won't bite or attack you. My bulls are like big dogs
