Honey badgers are thought to be one of the most fierce animals on earth but they are actually quite harmless.
Honey Badgers and Stink Badgers both use their scent glands for defense but both animals belonged in separate families Honey Badgers belong to the family Melidae while Stink Badgers belong to the family Mephitidae honey badgers and true badgers also belonged to the superfamily Musteloidea making them most closely related to weasels, martens, and otters while skunks and stink badgers both belong to the superfamily Procyonoidea making them more closely related to raccoons, red pandas, and coatis.
The honey badger-also known as ratal- is part of the Mustelidae family. Honey badgers are not anything to do with badgers, they are only called honey badgers because in french, badger means the word "dig", honey badgers are very extreme when it comes to claws and teeth. Claws are used for digging and also breaking into a bee hives, that's where the name HONEY comes from. This species favorite food is honey and even LOTS of stings NEVER now and NEVER will stop the honey badger getting its honey. The most fearless animal in the world, stealing meals off lions to killing the feared monitor lizard, is the deadly honey badger.A honey badger is a member of the mustelid family(think weasel and mink). They are native to Africa. They are very ill tempered(much like the North American Badger) and are quite fearless. Here is a link http://www.honeybadger.com/ that will explain them in more deatil.
Most adult badgers love eating earthworms and eat several hundred of them every night
Fear is human character , we can't apply it as such on animals .Lower invertebrates are more fear less as they lack a well developed brain necessary for fear. Among Vertebrates Elephant may be considered more fearless .
Yes, they are one of the feicest animals in the world. I don't think they would kill a tiger, but honey badgers, also called rattles, are capable of injuring lions and would most certainly win in a fight against a wolveriene.
Honey badger
The most fearless animal in the entire animal kingdom is the Honey Badger, this crazy little thing chases leopards and just smacks the crap out of cobras, if you don't believe me, look it up.....on YouTube! :P
For the most part. They are afraid of bigger and stronger dogs and other animals such as wolverines.
fearlessness can be most closely associated with pride. the lion is the most common symbol for pride. however. the honey badger is recognizably the most fearless animal on the planet
Honey badgers are not the meanest in the entire world, but they sure are aggressive. Even lions think twice before picking a fight with a honey badger. They can even bust open the most dangerous type of bees nest... African honey bees. They are immune to their stings, and can even sleep off a black mamba or cobra bite, and in a while they'll be perfectly fine. So honey badgers are pretty mean, or tough!
Due to their fairly small size and solitary, reclusive nature, honey badgers are particularly difficult to see in the wild. While honey badgers are wide spread across most of Africa and beyond, most sightings do not last more than a few minutes, often as an individual trots across a road and disappears into the undergrowth. In South Africa the Kgalagadi Transfrontier National Park (formerly known as the Kalahari Gemsbok, South Africa) is an excellent area to see honey badgers, especially in the winter when they may forage throughout the day. In Namibia there are frequent sightings in the Etosha National Park, and in Zimbabwe badgers make a habit of raiding tourist camp dustbins during the night in the Mana Pools and Hwange National Parks (Nyamepi and Sinamatella camps). In Kenya, the Tsavo National Park is well known for sightings of honey badgers. I got that from www.honeybadger.com .
