There is debate as to what the first flying machine actually was.
It looks to me that the first machine was either a bird-shaped jet-propelled object or a glider though...

It depends what you mean by "flying saucer". There have been circular aircraft, dating back almost to the invention of flying machines themselves, but so far no-one has built a "flying saucer" that operates the way supposed UFOs do.
