No they are not. A lot of people hunt to provide meat for their families. I my self have helped donate over 1000 pounds of venison to local food pantries. How is it any different then a slaughter house.

In using the term innocent, you are granting a human characteristic to an animal. That is purely an emotional act, and not a very well thought out one. As the poster above said- milk, eggs, beef, lamb and chicken are not miraculously made in the grocery store, not leather in the shoe store.
