No, links are not allowed in the discussion area of questions. Links are only allowed in two places and they are either on your profile page or on the question under "Sources and Related links".
Due to a recent update, every question can now be discussed. This includes protected questions. However to discuss a question you must be signed in.
You can always place additional information in the discussion area.
The discussion area is aimed to be a commentary area discussing issues about the question or answer but not directly answering the questions.
All of your contributions add up.. whether that's asking or answering questions, editing (improving) answers, or posting a comment on the discussion area.
Wikianswers is for answering questions. Discussions take place in the discussion area, the consensus is then placed into the answer area. Please feel free to start or add a discussion
