Not all microorganisms are bad. Most are in fact necessary for life. For instance, one kind of bacteria makes nitrogen available for plants to use. Plants on their own cannot take nitrogen from the soil and convert it to useable form.

What makes microorganisms bad is what they infect and if they produce any toxins. For instance, C. diphtheria is harmful because it produces a neurotoxin that destroys nerve endings. Some like Streptococcus pneumonia have a polysaccharide capsule which makes it really sticky. Thus, when it gets into the lungs, it becomes very difficult for it to become dislodged. Many of the microorganisms that are considered bad are opportunistic pathogens. This means that in certain parts of the body these bacteria live and grow and cause no harm. Once they are somehow transferred to another place (like an incision in the skin), they grow and reproduce, but your body recognizes them as invaders and destroys them.

Food turns bad because of the action of microoraganisms such as bacteria and yeast which lands on the food Suggest why fish stored in concentrated salt solution will not turn bad?

Basically extremely high salt or sugar concentrations cause a difference in pressure. This sucks the water out of the microorganisms causing them to be squish in on themselves and finally popping thus killing the microorganisms.
