A miniature schnauzer is like a standard schnauzer, but smaller. They tend to have less grooming issues since they are smaller. They don't stand but about 12-16 inches tall and weigh between 10-20 pounds. They don't shed, and love to be cuddled. They think they are lap dogs :) They love both the outside and inside....and baths too!!

A minature Dachsund is a small dog with a long body. More commonly known as the "sausage dog". They range in colour and are very loyal. They need to be looked after properly as many things can break or damage their backs, because of their legnth. E.g. Wrongly held, overweight, falling off a high object. ----
Miniature schnauzers are loyal, friendly, playful, protective, kind-hearted, can get stubborn, and caring. They have many more characteristics...too many to write. They are fun loving, great loyal pets to have. They are ONE of the many best dogs in the world. :)Miniature schnauzers are loyal, friendly, playful, protective, kind-hearted, can get stubborn, and caring. Schnauzers tend to be perky, loving, intelligent, energetic, affectionate, obedient, playful, happy and alert (like kids).
They enjoy time and companionship from their master. Without proper leadership they can be feisty and act aggressive without intending to fight (this is very bad because bigger dogs might think it is a challenge which may bring trouble to your dog). They are very well socialized when loved. If they are introduced properly (as in not thrown in a cage together, but letting them sniff each other and play around a little bit) they should get along great with other pets (yes, even cats).
They tend to bark a lot, but its not a yappy bark. They are awesome guard dogs, and great mouse catchers!!! Some may not like strangers the first time, but will love them the next visit. Too much affection, however, may lead this dog to think he is the pack leader of humans too, which is not good. That can lead to excessive barking and stubbornness. Other than that, they are overall very loyal dogs. Get one and you will have a companionship better than anything.
I personally have a miniature schnauzer, and it's the best dog i have ever had.

I have a friend who is a dog trainer, and I agree of what he always says, "There is no stupid dog, only stupid and lazy dog owners". Mini Schnauzer has all the potentials to be a great dog, only if you train it good, that's why MS has a #11 AKC ranking.
Also, it depends on what kind of dog you want, and what kind of dog fits your needs. If you are looking for a laid back, quiet and cozy one, MS is "not" a good dog. On the other hand, if you want an energetic and spirited dog who loves to exercise and please its owner, MS is a great dog.

A Schnauzer with a colouring that is not allowed in dog shows
No, according to the book The Intelligence of Dogs by Stanley Coren, Miniature Schnauzers are the twelfth most intelligent dog breed.
Miniature schnauzers are loyal and protective, but need attention. All miniature schnauzers are different. Some may be quieter than others, that mainly depends on their environment and how they are taken care of. Miniature schnauzer should be walked at least 30 minutes each day. Miniature schnauzers are highly intelligent dogs, but may bark when they are alone for a long time. (separation anxiety) Some miniature schnauzers are quiet and don't bark when they are alone for long periods of time. Miniature schnauzers can be stubborn sometimes. They need a lot of love and attention. Miniature schnauzers are very sweet dogs that are willing to please. With the right amount of exercise, love, and care, miniature schnauzers are awesome sogs. :P :]
Yes, they are good for people with allergies, but sometimes the dog can get dandruff, so give schnauzers a bath every now and then!
a miniature schnauzer is the only "breed" of miniature schnauzers. you have your giant schnauzers and there are yet to be toy schnauzers which would be smaller than miniatures.
Miniature Schnauzers weigh from 6 - 7 kg.
miniature schnauzers like cool environment, not a hot one. they can also deal with kids and other dogs.
Miniature schnauzers can have apples, but in small pieces so they cannot choke on it.
sad
Dogs cannot see colors, their world is black, gray, and white, and shades between.
Although they are alert they are small and valuble dogs and can be stolen outside during the night the Miniature Schnauzer is more of an inside dog because it is pampered
There are many places online to find information about miniature schnauzers. Try websites like Wikipedia, dogbreedinfo, and the Miniature Schnauzer Club of Canada.
I would say no. Dogs really shouldn't be eating any "human food" at all as it is bad for them and can shorten their life-span. (But to be sure ask your vet.)
