Are mobile phones dangerous?
Mobile phones are only dangerous when they're used in inappropriate situations.
For example, using a mobile phone can be distracting, thus making it dangerous to use while driving a car, bicycling, or even walking down the street. This doesn't mean the phone is necessarily dangerous in these situations, so the user's good judgment is key.
Contrary to popular misconceptions, the radiation from cell phones cannot cause harm to a person's body. It can't cause cancer because it only generates radio waves, which are non-ionizing waves of energy. The radio waves from a cell phone could cause heating if the signal was powerful and concentrated, but a cell phone's transmitter is much too weak to cause this effect.
