No you can't but it is the same exact thing as minecraft. Also, minecraft is much better because you can install mods.
Some do But Some do Not.
Try it again. Delete the .jar, reopen Minecraft, it'll redownload a vanilla .jar. Then do the exact same thing.
You can't make a "single player just for mods." All of your data is stored in the exactly same place and mods affect every single world. If it is a mod you can turn off then there is your answer.
Yes, you can install as many mods as you want as long as they are compatible with each other. Some mods use the same .class files which basically means they aren't compatible. You will know if two mods are compatible with each other because your game will give you a black screen and you won't be able to play until the mods are deleted.
No, you are not the only one. Texture Packs for me work though.
You can, but you need the mod modloader. It allows you to run multiple mods at the same time.
No.It will only modifiy the game. If it's not written well it may also crash the computer but that would be rare.If you don't follow the directions of the mod maker then it could crash Minecraft. Or the mod may not be compatible with any other mods you may have downloaded and it will do the same.
Nope, same thing.
no a pirate is that it is illegal
notch used programming which i have no idea how to do but long minecraft commands are pretty much the same thing.
You either have an old version of the mod or you didn't read the instructions. It has to be the same version of the game or specifically says it's compatible. You have to read the instructions on ALL the mods you use as they all have different requirements and may not be compatible with other mods.
