A low carb diet can be safe if used correctly. An easy low carb diet that is not harmful is one similar to a "Diabetic Diet". Diabetics eat low carb because carbs are turned into sugar in the blood stream.

Yes. There are studies showing an increased risk of numerous health problems when either increasing the amount of fat or protein in your diet. There are also numerous articles and discussions about this subject.

But just because something can be dangerous it doesn't mean that it is. Some studies show health benefits when lowering the carbohydrate intake. During the recent years new information have been published showing that low carbohydrate diets aren't dangerous.

It's up to each one to decide what to and what not to believe.
