Non metals exists in nature . They are not made in computers.
Group 18 of the Periodic Table has only non metals. Additionally, the stable elements of group 17 are also non metals.
Metals and nonmetals form ionic compounds.
Metals commonly used in computers and electronic devices include copper (wiring), gold (connectors), aluminum (heat sinks), and iron (steel casing). Non-metals like silicon (semiconductors), carbon (plastic components), and oxygen (used in insulating materials) are also essential in electronic devices.
Our body is mainly made up of nonmetals
Most elements on the periodic table are classified as metals, with only a few elements classified as non-metals.
Tent poles are typically made out of either aluminum or fiberglass, which are both metals. These materials are chosen for their strength, durability, and lightweight properties, which make them ideal for supporting the structure of a tent.
Non metals
Metals have the property of producing a ringing sound when struck. Therefore, metals are sonorous and have the property of "Sonority". Non-metals however, are not sonorous and hence are not used in bells. :D
Non ferrous metals
Metals have the property of producing a ringing sound when struck. Therefore, metals are sonorous and have the property of "Sonority". Non-metals however, are not sonorous and hence are not used in bells. :D
To find out whether a substance is an alloy you look at the elements it is made of. If it made up of only metals (ie gold, silver, aluminum, copper) then you know it is an alloy. If the components are a metal and non-metal, it is an ionic compound. If the components are two non-metals it is a molecular compound.
Most of them do NOT react with water. Only fluorine and to some extend chlorine do. Actually the only good 'water reacting' group of elements is group 1: the alkali metals.
