Produce which has been certified organic is not allowed to have commercial chemical pesticides, fertilizers, or other compounds applied to it. Other produce may or may not have had them applied, but are required by the U.S. EPA to have any possible residues at or below a tolerance level.

The nutritional content of each is identical, though many prefer the taste of organic produce.

Every years, EWG comes out with "The Shopper's Guide to Pesticides" where it ranks pesticide contamination for 53 popular fruits and vegetables based on an analysis of 51,000 tests for pesticides on these foods, conducted from 2000 to 2009 by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the federal Food and Drug Administration. Nearly all the studies on which the guide is based tested produce after it had been rinsed or peeled.

I am a person who has always been health conscious and worked towards maintaining a healthy weight. I used to follow a strict diet, regular exercise and also gave my body enough rest. What I didn’t realise during this time is all the chemicals I have been consuming through non organic food. Non organic food was causing harm without my knowledge. So, I slowly made the switch to organic food and now I can finally say I feel healthier than ever. And hands down, organic food is much better than non organic food in every aspect.

The advantages of organic food are:

● Grown organically - Without any pesticides or artificial fertilizers

● Taste better

● Higher nutritional value

● No genetic modification

● Better for the environment

● Better for the farmers

These are some of the many benefits of organic food when compared to non organic food. If you wish to switch to organic, choose Organic Tattva. They have everything you need to lead a healthier and happy life.
