Hamsters make relatively good pets. They are great pets for little kids! They are also good pets for beginner pet owners. Hamsters, like any pet, require care. You have to feed it, give it water, clean its cage, and pay for its expenses, such as vet bills and supplies. Hamster may bite or nip if provoked but they are usually calm and tame. Before you can play with your hamster you need to develop a trusting bond with them. Hamsters can also smell if their cage is not cleaned properly and regularly. Overall, hamsters need care just like any other pet, but they are great for little kids and beginners! I hope this helped!
Yes if the child can be trusted to look after them. They are nocturnal animals so the child must understand that if the hamster is asleep then they mustn't wake it. Hamsters are also very small and fragile so they need to be held gently and not squeezed. You also need to make sure that the child will clean the cage out weekly and feed the hamster daily. If not then you will end up being the one who has to do this.
In my opinion, hamsters are wonderful pets to have!
They are adorable and just so small. It is interesting to watch how they behave and react to their surroundings.
On the other hand, hamsters are a big responsibility. You have to change its food bowl and water bottle every day. You must wash the cage once a month. You must ensure it is active and running on its wheel. There is much more to know - this is just a start. Also, they are most active at night and really noisy at night. You have to get a silent wheel or else you won't be able to sleep.
Getting a hamster is fun, but it comes with many chores.
ANSWER:
no and yes. no because hamsters poo way more and birds dont as much and it would be hard work for u to clean up the hamsters poo like every 12 seconds. and yes because hamsters are way more cuter then birds and i think people should always have a cute pet instead of a ugly pet. and another reaon is because bieds get REALLY annoying sometimes in the morning when they chrip and i dont think you want to get deaf!
ANSWER:
My mom had different kinds of birds. (not all at once) But they were so messy, their feathers and poo came flying out of the cage, there was always some all over the floor under & around the cage, it was pretty bad. And yes they do chirp A LOT, it does get really annoying! it is nice sometimes to watch them fly around and play & stuff. but me personally i wouldnt want to have a bird or a hamster as a pet, birds for the reasons i said and the hamsters, they are really cute but they sleep All the time so theres barely any time to play with them. but if i were u i would say a hamster. hope this helped a little. (not trying to make you say no or not like them, these are just my opinions:) but good luck on getting whichever pet you get.
yes! hamsters are GREAT starter pets as they don't need much care, however you should still pay attention to it and look after it and give it as much of your love as possible. the best hamster type to get first as a starter pet i would reccomend any type of syrian because they are calm other dwarfs/winter whites that dart around the cage!
hope this helped xx

Yes, Roborovski hamsters make great pets. They are some times called robo hamsters, they have a LOT of energy . Roborovski are better for older children because they are so small.
Panda hamsters are a black and white coloured form of Syrian hamster. They are called such because they resembled tiny panda bears. They can be very friendly and affectionate little pets when treated with the right amount of love, care and patience. As with any hamster or any animal for that matter, it is important to socialise them with people from a young age.
