Some parts may interchange. They will be the engine, transaxle, battery and solenoid. But most of the parts like the deck, belts, pullies etc.. will not interchange.
There are numerous manufacturers of lawn mowers in the US. A few of the manufacturers are Ariens, Bush Hog, Murray, and Snapper.
I would guess that it is actually a Poulan. They are marketed under their name and I believe most or all Sears Craftsman riding mowers are actually manufactured by them.
Prices for riding mowers vary widely, depending on brand and features. Walmart has a riding mower for just under $700. Home Depot has a Poulan model for about $900. Used models would be lower than that.
