Absolutely. Saltwater catfish comprise an important commodity in the markeplace, and before fish farming became popular, most catfish served in restaurants were saltwater.

∙ 8y agoNot entirely.Most catfish species are freshwater. Though some catfish, like Hardhead catfish are saltwater catfish. Some catfish species can live in both fresh and salt water.
