Yes there are some still alive to day but they are getting older. The younger ones would be about 85 years old today.

The last two British veterans from World War 1 have just died (July 2009).

If a trench or bunker collapsed, that was quite possible.
Lots of soldiers that entered world war 2 may have been below 18 or maybe right on 18 and most of them are in their 90's or maybe 100's
i know they fought and used bombs etc but what was they routine what did they atually do? The same that soldiers do in any war, keep alive and try to make our world a better place...so we could be here now
to transport dead and alive soldiers. also, to transport equipment (guns)
it becomes history as no body is alive to tell the story.
No India as a country did not fight in world war 1 however some Indian soldiers assisted British soldiers in the war. Hope this helps :)
