The are not supposed to carry guns in most schools. The security guard or police officer may have a gun in school, but not school teachers!
In addition, dividing people up into good guys or bad guys is an erroneous classification. In a recent study of schoolteachers with guns, 30 teachers discharged their weapons, most of which were intentional and illicit.

Why shouldn't teachers carry guns?
Have you been to a school lately. I'm surprised the teachers aren't going on rampages through the cities in monster trucks taking out anything that moves. Carrying guns would be a bad, bad thing. Actually, a couple of states in the U.S. allow carry of a handgun on school property if the person has a permit. There have been no problems even though anti-gun people scream and yell that there would be shootings every day and people mistakenly shot every day.
