Chamorros come from the Northern Mariana Islands & Guam. The Chamorros of the Northern Marianas would rather refer to the Chamorros of Guam as "Guamanians" so as not to confuse themselves with each other. Gumanians also prefer to call themselves the Chamoru people.

At one time, the politically correct word for a person from the orient was "oriental". Today, this word is not used. Today we say, "Asian".
