Freemasons - established ca. 150 BCE
Knights Templar (The Poor Fellow-Soldiers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon) - were established in Jerusalem 1120 CE and were active until 13 October 1307 (the order was disbanded formally by Pope Clement in 1312)
The Illuminati - founded 1 May 1776 by Adam Weishaupt in Ingolstadt, Bavaria and disbanded 1785 by the Duke of Bavaria Charles Theodore.
Not only are they not connected, related, or associated in any way, the times that the Templars and the Illuminati existed were separated by 473 years. The Freemasons have existed in some form or another in one nation or another since they were founded.
Despite all the conspiracy hoo ha, there is no connection.

Yes. The Knights Templar were Germanic, the originated as a Christian religious order of Knights who fought in the Crusades and they were originally from the Western portion of Germany near the Rhine river. Towards the end to after the crusades, a few of the members of the Knights Templar moved into France, and expanded the order to France. The Knights Templar originated from the Teutonic order of Knights, and the Knights Hospitaller who were both famous, yet powerful, Christian groups who were from Germany. The Knights Templar still are around today but are referred to as just "Templars" or "Free Masons."

The "unknown" group that plotted against the government due to the fact that they were legitamatly trying to take over the world.

Nope. While there were a few Masons who were dual members of the Bavarian Illuminati and the Freemasons during the short time the Illuminati existed, when Duke Theodore disbanded the organization in 1785, they quickly distanced themselves to avoid persecution.
