Yes, they are the earliest hawaiian islands and run up to and under Siberia which would be the earliest of the group.....the arch or indentation of the seamounts into the aleution/siberian plate is caused by drift.....the 60 degree bend in the emperor mount/hawaiiaqn range (just west of midway island) was caused as the result of an ancient alien impact into the planet earth millions of years ago, such as the impact(s) that caused pangeae to break up into the presentday continents.
Regionally the Hawaiian Islands are a part of Polynesia.
The American islands that are actually an underwater chain of volcanoes are the Hawaiian Islands. These islands were formed by volcanic activity from the Hawaiian-Emperor seamount chain. The islands of Hawaii, Maui, Oahu, Kauai, and others are all part of this volcanic chain.
Hawaii is an archipelago in the Pacific Ocean.
The Hawaiian Islands are part of the US.
California and the Hawaiian Islands are actually both a part of the Pacific Basin. The Pacific Rim is also a part of the Pacific Basin.
The Hawaiian Islands.
All of the active and inactive volcanoes that are part of the Hawaiian-Emperor Seamount chain are shield volcanoes. Shield volcanoes are the result of Hot Spot volcanism which is the type of volcanic force that created the Hawaiian islands.
all of the hawaiian islands are apart of the US also those in alaska
yes it is
The Hawaiian islands are not of the same age. The largest island of Hawaii is still being formed by continuing lava eruptions and a new mound of lava is building below the surface that may become the next island in the next few thousand years. If you look at a map of the Pacific as you move west through the islands they are older and less active with eruptions. Midway off to the west north west is part of the chain as are the Emporer seamounts off the coast of Russia and Japan. Most geologists believe that there is a hot spot in the earths mantle that breaks though the thin ocean crust as it slides over top. These islands and seamounts are all remnants from when that section of the Pacific Plate went over the hotspot.
It is both, one of the Hawaiian Islands and a part of the State of Hawaii.
yes they are!!
