My 3 year old grandaughter was born with moyamoya. She has now been diagnosed with vasculitis as well. We would like to know if anyone else has a child with both rare diseases.
Symptoms in an affected child or adult may include disturbed consciousness, speech deficits, sensory and cognitive impairment, involuntary movements, or vision problems
In most cases, a man is legally required to pay child support for a child even if the child is not biologically his, if he has acted as the child's father figure or has been recognized as the child's legal father. This is known as the legal concept of "paternity by estoppel."
From what I just read about Moya-Moya disease surgery, it sounds as though the middle cerebral artery is often bypassed with the temporal artery to give better blood flow. This procedure is well known at Stanford University in California.
Physicians earlier labeled these injuries as accidental, but as more about child abuse became known, more cases of this syndrome were properly diagnosed
