We have a 2005 Polaris Sportsman and have had virtually no problems with it. The previous owner is a good friend of mine, he bought it new and I know for a fact that he had no problems with the eight year old machine.

Your Polaris Sportsmen 600 transmission can be filled with any SAE certified transmission fluid. The manufacturer recommends that you do not over fill the transmission.
Any Good TCW-3 outboard 2 cycle oil works fine.
As long as it is for aluminum any antifreeze will work you just cut it 50/50 with water .

It might be that your clutch is not disengaging properly, so your gears won't shift.
check pickup coil inside the flywheel rt. side as sitting on it the pickup is on the outside of the flywheel but the problem is usually the stator inside the flywheel and is sold as a set.
I have a 1951 Sportsman 48 and found a manual for it at the following website: http://stevespages.com/page7b.htm. From this manual, I was able to completely disassemble, clean and reassemble my shotgun without any problems. Hope this helps.
No. Polaris cannot be seen at any point (0.5 degrees) south of the equator.
In the northern hemisphere Polaris can be seen in any month of the year.
I would suggest you go back to where you got it from and ask them that question.(My guess is that if you try to do any work on it it will void any warranty you might have,They probably want to do any service you might need to it until the warranty is off.)You can probably order one threw them if you need one.
