Most victims of the Holocaust have now passed on. Those who have not are well into retirement, as it is 72 years since 1945.

No one "founded" them. It is a time period, an age. It is like asking who founded 1960 or today. The late middle age was a progression of events in time that became "history". The events of today will be history tomorrow. Some events are connected to each other and depend on events in the past, but no one can tell the results of current decisons or events. Only time will show that.
