It might take some digging on your part, but if you are seriously interested, there are places that need volunteer help to assist in the care of wild animals. Especially those organizations that are involved in rehabilitating injured, or sick wild animals. It requires lots of work to maintain clean, healthy areas, prepare food, or feed young animals, and doing other assorted tasks. Try contacting your local Wildlife Officer, ASPCA, or Land Management Offices. These organizations should know how to reach any local programs, where you could find your help to be invaluable.
