Yes, there are plans for the entire Universal Orlando Resort to expand, so they will have a major expansion of the "Universal CityWalk" shopping complex in Orlando, Florida, to a mega-mall with more live events, shopping, and dining; there are also plans for Universal Orlando Resort to expand both "Universal Studios Florida" and the "Islands of Adventure" theme parks to have even more attractions, live events, shopping and dining for each one; and yet, an additional 8 hotels/resorts with live events, shopping, and dining are also being planned, except that they are being themed by Universal and other major movie studios. That's approximately 4 existing hotels/resorts and another 4 that are new. Construction will start in 2017, and opening dates are finally being scheduled for 2021/2022 (the same times Walt Disney World Resort makes way into expansion). It is definitely happening around both 2015 and 2016; also, news will be reported and sources will be given very soon.
