I could only find one haunting in Pope County (very small town), but if you go online to the largest county closest to Pope County and get on the library archives I am sure there are more. Here is what I came up with: Bigfoot of course, but hardly a haunting. 'Booger Hollow' is a small unknown town in Pope County, Arkansas. The word 'Booger' came from the Welsh word 'Bwg' which meant 'to scare.' The English changed it to 'Boo'; 'Bogus' and 'Booger' with different meanings attached, but all indicate something frightening or unknown. In the 1800s when the road from Harrison, Arkansas ran through the Bull Frog Valley to where Booger Hollow stands today were two cemeteries and the stories of hunting's began to spread by the people. Every small town or city has it's ghosts and hauntings. Check out the library and listen to folk lore.
