Office jobs usually require you to sit a lot, so you could gain weight from not moving around. Be sure to stand up and stretch and move your legs at least once an hour. Take a quick walk, even if it's just to a copier or a water fountain, to get your blood circulation going. If you are doing a lot of data entry on a computer, stop every 15-20 minutes and gently stretch your arms and hands and gently roll your shoulders forwards and back. Look around at items far away - such as a clock, exit sign, window, door - to rest your eyes from constantly focusing on the computer screen. Do these activities for about 30 seconds, then resume work. Be aware of pain and tingling in your hands, wrists, arms, elbows, shoulders etc, as this can mean tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, pinched nerves, and other problems. Try to adjust the height of your keyboard so your forearms and hands are parallel. Try using a wristrest though be sure you aren't leaning on the wristrest as that can make things worse. If you use a mouse a lot, vary which hand you use for it to divide up the work load. If you do a lot of 10-key entry and also use a mouse with your right hand, practice using the mouse with your left hand instead. Sit in an upright position rather than leaning forward or back. If you need to lean your body or head forward to read the screen, bring the screen closer and also get your eyes examined by an eye doctor as you may need glasses or contact lenses. Adjust your chair so your back is supported when you sit upright. Make sure your thighs are parallel to the floor and your feet are flat on the floor. If you need keep your chair higher because of how your desk or work surface is arranged, rest your feet on a footrest. You don't want your feet to dangle as that means you are cutting off circulation to the lower parts of your legs. Adjust the height of the computer screen so when you look straight ahead you are looking at the top third of the screen and try to remember to blink often as people tend not to blink much when looking at a computer screen. If you want to lean back or forward, just to vary your position, do this only for a few minutes at a time to prevent back and neck strain. If you use the phone a lot, get a headset. Don't put the phone receiver between your shoulder and neck as this can eventually cause pinched nerves. If you do a lot of filing, you will get paper cuts. Have bandaids and antibiotic ointment handy as these cuts are painful and can get infected if not treated. Try these tips if you use a computer at home. If you are sitting in an awkward position to use your computer at home, this can cause physical problems.

Can you die from Endometriosis?

I have had Endometriosis for 6 years. And I have had 5 surgeries in relation to it. While Endometriosis is not a fatal disease, there are risks to your life with any surgery. A number of things can go wrong while on the operating table. The risks are greater if they have to fully open you up then if you have a laproscopic procedure done. I have had both which is how I know the answer to this. Before having any kind of operation done you have to sign many forms and your doctor should inform you that there are risks to any surgery, including one done for Endometriosis.
