On Mac, you can find the default screen recording tool in QuickTime Player in the applications folder. Although its a free tool, it falls well short of what you expect from a capable software like a paid tool. Alternatively, you can make use of third-party screen recorders like ScreenRec. Just like QuickTime Player, ScreenRec is also entirely free but offers far more than the default application, like free cloud storage and continuous screen recording in HD quality.

Built-in options include the Game Bar on Windows (press Win + G) and QuickTime Player on macOS (File > New Screen Recording). Additionally, third-party applications like OBS Studio, Camtasia, and Snagit offer advanced features for screen recording. Simply select the area you want to record, configure your settings, and start capturing.
To record your screen while playing a game on your iPod 5, you'll need to use a computer with screen recording software, as the iPod 5 does not have built-in screen recording capabilities. Connect your iPod to your computer using a USB cable, then use software like QuickTime Player (for Mac) or third-party applications (for Windows) to capture the screen. Make sure to set the recording to display your iPod's screen and start the game to begin recording. After finishing, save the recording to your computer.
