I don't think so... the pens to use with Copics are copic multiliners ball points wouldn't be the best. In fact it'd probably be really bad.

Paper- depending on what medium you are working with different types are used. Such as paper, card, bleed-proof board. I think technically you could say soft pastels, oil pastels, watercolours and other paints. Depends if you're approaching it at a Graphical or Artistic point of view.
