While The Bible is very secretive about certain specifics regarding Satan [Lucifer] and "demons" [devils, evil or unclean spirits]... it provides a few clues ["...here a little, and there a little..." - Isa.28:10], that, when pieced together, begin to paint a general picture.

In the Bible... there are "three" angels named: Michael, Gabriel and Lucifer.

It's further "evident" [not clearly stated] that God "probably" divided authority over all of His created angels among these three angelic leaders.

We are told in Revelation 12, that the "Dragon" [Satan; verse 9] coerced his "1/3" of the angels under his authority to follow him in a rebellion against God: "...his tail DREW THE THIRD PART OF THE STARS OF HEAVEN..." (Rev.12:4).

Prophetic symbolism in the Bible reveals "stars" to represent "angels":

"...The seven STARS are the ANGELS of the seven churches..." (Rev.1:20).

The Bible further states that Michael has leadership and authority over his own angels:

"...there was war in heaven: Michael and HIS ANGELS fought against the Dragon; and the Dragon fought and HIS ANGELS, and prevailed not..." (Rev.12:7-8).

It may not be that Gabriel has "a third part" of God's angels under him... and that Lucifer just convinced one-third of Michael's angels out from under him... the Bible doesn't say.

But the Bible does say that the "one-third" of the angels who rebelled against God [the demons, devils or unclean spirits] are THE DRAGON's ANGELS. So, the biblical evidence is that none of them are greater than "Lucifer."

It's Satan who shall be "chained and removed" from influencing the nations when Jesus returns [Rev.20:1-3]. So, the "evidence" is that where he goes... the rest will follow.

But, most importantly... it's Jesus Christ to whom all angels and men alike answer to... and who is GREATER THAN ALL.

"...a man in their synagogue who was possessed by an evil spirit cried out, 'What do you want of us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are -- the Holy One of God!' 'Be quiet!' said Jesus sternly. 'Come out of him!'..."

"The people were all so amazed that they asked each other, 'What is this? A new teaching -- and WITH AUTHORITY! HE GIVES ORDERS TO EVIL SPIRITS AND THEY OBEY HIM.'" (Mark 1:27 NIV)

In the beginning... God delegated leadership authority among His angels... and the names Michael, Gabriel and Lucifer are revealed to us. In harmony they did whatever their jobs were to do... until Lucifer became dissatisfied with his status and position, and wanted more -- to be God.

He thought [and thinks] he is "greater" than God. Perhaps the "evil spirits" who followed him in his "government coup" attempt... or some of them... think they are greater than him. It really doesn't matter, once you fail to acknowledge God's Greatness... and fall from His Grace.

Until that happened... they were all "great" in their own capacities and duties. And each responsible and obedient to their leaders as delegated by God. Even Lucifer was great in the beginning. And his angels followed his orders, all, at first, within the lawful parameters that God decreed for His Kingdom, the universe.

"...God saw all that He had made, and it was very good."

Why is god stronger than demons?

Because God made demons - or at least he allowed them to be created by the devil. When Lucifer thought that he could do a better job at everything than God, then He gave the devil his own headquarters, which then came with the devil, evil, disobedience, sins, AND demons. So therefore, God is stronger.

Demons are the utimate in evil. There is only one other that is more evil and he goes by the name Satan. Demons were actually angels in Heaven, as was Lucifer (Satan's Heavenly name). How old are demons?

It depends on who you reference. The Bible says that they go back as far as the Fall of Lucifer, others say that they are several eons old, whereas still others say that demons do not exist. Some say that the oldest demon was Lucifer himself and that there have been various other "newer" demons that have been "born" or created thereafter, which would mean that the age of a demon varies from demon to demon.
