No, there's no such thing as a good computer virus. Some are less disastrous than others, but you'll never find a good one.

Defining points of a virus include:

1. You didn't install it, or you were tricked into installing it.

2. It uses an inordinate amount of computer resources such as RAM.

3. It damages your computer's registry by deleting registry keys, writing code into existing registry keys, or adding registry keys designed to exploit your system and maybe your privacy.

4. Some have been suspected of damaging your hardware components.

You might also see pop-up advertisements, false security warnings, and computer errors including a complete system crash, or Blue Screen of Death.
