AC idle compensator. Many vehicles have a sensor that increases idle speed when you turn on & add more load. Sounds like your idle not being adjusted. Have your mech check it.

I'm pretty sure the speedometer uses the transmission speed sensor. the rear axle speed sensor is for the rear antilock brakes.
There is more than one speed sensor. There is one in the top of the differential housing. If you have a 4R70W transmission, there is a speed sensor in the side of it, and if you have a 4R100 transmission there are two speed sensors in it. If you have 4 wheel ant-lock brakes, there is a speed sensor in each front wheel hub. So there could be as many as 5 speed sensors. Which speed sensor are we replacing?
The rain sensor is in the windshield. Many of our members disable the feature as it tends to be more problematic than useful. www.trailvoy.com All the answers from true enthusiasts.
