Yes. I experienced the Chilean earthquake of Feb. 27, 2010, the 8th biggest recorded earthquake in history. It happened at 3 am and was super strong, however most buildings in Chile are "earthquake proof" due to Chile being a seismic zone (has the biggest recorded earthquake in history!) so there wasn't significant damage done to the infrastructure of Chile.

It is mentioned in the Book of Revelations in the Bible. But I do not think so because it just does not seem to be the time. No outbreaks or horribly wrong natural disasters that do not belong have happened yet. Yes, natural disasters are happening but they are not that abnormal. Say, if it started snowing in Texas in the middle of summer then it would be considered abnormal and the possibility of the world ending is present.

Natural disasters still occur because man does not control nature, and scientists have found that just about all the systems of the world are interlinked in some way, so when one thing is altered it automatically alters something else. Mix in some Selfishness, Thoughtlessness, Greed, Ignorance, and not a little Stupidity, and you have a mess. Think of it as a very intricate and yet delicate Closed-Loop Feedback System. The question is not "Why do disasters happen?" but rather "Why don't more disasters happen?"!

There will be many natural disasters and the gospel will have been preached to the whole world (which has not happened and isn't close to happening yet). Then Jesus will decend from the clouds in a charriot and all the bodies of dead believers will be raised.

Actually, the end is supposed to commence with earthquakes, volcanoes and other natural disasters and culminate sometime in October 2011. So far, here in Nova Scotia, there has been no earthquakes to report on as of yet. :) the world will not end may 22 2011 since, the world is still going and it may 24! October 22 is passed. We're all still here! Its November 21st .... and the world has not ended yet :D
